Personality: Erin is a very together young women with a good head on her shoulders. She's determined, stubborn and very persistent. Erin can come across as hard sometimes because she's spent so long by herself and surviving on her wits that she has developed an outer shell that keeps her protected from the seedier aspects of life. You shouldn't let this fool you because once you dig a little deeper Erin is in fact caring, generous, and willing to help a person in need. Her parents taught her well in that respect. Her humour is more dry than it is goofy and she tends to crack jokes at God's expense these days because it makes dealing with her mother's death easier. You could say she's bitter and jaded in some ways but she still believes in the good of people thanks to the generosity shown to her family after her mother's passing. She is also very inquisitive and has a good nose for bullshit, although she's not infallible because no one ever is.

Background: Erin was born and raised in a good religious family and for most of her life she has attended church and her mother's always thanked the Lord above for all their good fortune. Erin was a good kid or she tried to be anyways but there was always a rebellious edge to her, some said it was her way of rebelling against the somewhat strict religious code of ethics within the household itself, and it took her until her seventeenth birthday when her mother was diagonised with breast cancer to curb her ways.

The next two years were difficult to say the least, what with her mother struggling with chemotherapy and her father working extra hours at the office just to meet the medical bills. Erin took on more responsibility at home and at church, she turned her attentions away from partying and put them to being a daughter her mother could be proud of. She attended school regularly and got good grades as well as helped out with all events thrown by the church itself, it helped Rachel to feel as if she was doing something to help or at least ease her mother's difficulties.

In God she sought answers and whether by luck or chance she found the answer for her mother's ailing health in the form of Roy LeGrange. He was a miracle worker, they said he had God on his side and Erin desperately wanted to believe. In Erin's eyes it was the last chance for her mother as the doctors had already said the cancer had spread and there was very little that could be done.

She told her mother and father about him and begged her mother to consider making the trip to Nebraska in the hopes that Roy might heal her of her cancer. Her mother was reluctant but agreed to go with Erin so at the age of nineteen, Erin travelled with her parents to Nebraska hoping and praying that Reverend LeGrange might be able to help.

Roy LeGrange granted them an audience and he expressed his sincerest condolences and invited them to attend his next meeting. They accepted and what they saw astounded them. There were no explanations for it and they truly believed that it was in fact the will of God. The Saunders family continued to stay in Nebraska against the advice of their doctor and continued to attend the meetings. During this time, Erin spoke to many of Roy's followers and learned of the other miracles he had performed.

It was only when Roy LeGrange healed a man called Dean that the truth behind his ability was revealed and it was safe to say that Erin's belief and trust was shattered. He never had had God on his side and her mother was once again left at the mercy of her medication and unfortunately Erin's mother passed away when Erin was twenty. Her death shook the family and Erin was never the same. People said she lost her faith and they wouldn't be wrong, she stopped attending church and she threw herself into another life.

A life that took her away from the one she had been planning since she was ten years of age. It's a life filled with the supernatural, questions, and the constant and unrelenting search for answers. Erin travels from place to place when she hears of something that might be related to what happened in Nebraska and she is in a way chasing death because Roy LeGrange seemed to delay that for some and not for others.
